     The County Clerk serves as the clerk and official record keeper for the County Court and Commissioners' Court.

The County Clerk also has many other duties:

• Conducting elections, including primaries and early voting.
  
  
• Preservation of documents pertaining to real property, including deeds, tax liens, assumed names (DBA's) for new businesses, and UCC's.
• View index information and images online at www.countygovernmentrecords.com. There is no cost to become a registered user and search the index. However, images may be purchased for $1.00 per page or by monthly subscription for $250.00 per month for unlimited access to document images.
  
  
• Issues marriage licenses.
  • Visit twogether in Texas at www.twogetherintexas.com to join other couples for free marriage and relationship workshops.
  • You can now order birth and death certificates online by visiting Texas Online. Or you can download forms to order these certificates by mail from the DSHS website.
    
    
• Issues warrants, subpoenas, commitments and other documents for the County Court.

• Keeps records for Probate Courts. This office issues citations, letters of guardianship, letters of testamentary, notices, and other documents as required by law or requested by customers. The Probate Court hears cases concerning wills to be probated, administration of estates, mental health commitments, guardianships, etc.
