If the elevator in the courthouse is out of service and you require access to any office on the higher floors, please come down the ramp to the Justice Court Administration office located in the basement. THE COUNTY OF EASTLAND ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 5.47 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $28.51.

The Texas VINE system is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or Internet to search for information regarding the custody status of their offender and to register to receive telephone and e-mail notification when the offender's custody status changes. The VINE toll-free number for the Texas VINE system is 1-877-894-8463. This service is provided to assist Victims of Crime who have a right to know about their offender's custody status.

One hospital serves the community with modern facilities. As of the 2000 census, Eastland County is populated with 18,297 persons.
