If the elevator in the courthouse is out of service and you require access to any office on the higher floors, please come down the ramp to the Justice Court Administration office located in the basement. There someone will contact the office that you need and arrangements can be made for you to transact your business. Thank you for your patience during the final stages of this renovation.
THE COUNTY OF EASTLAND ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 5.47 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $28.51.

The Texas VINE system is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or Internet to search for information regarding the custody status of their offender and to register to receive telephone and e-mail notification when the offender's custody status changes. The VINE toll-free number for the Texas VINE system is 1-877-894-8463. You can also access this information by utilizing the following link: https://www.vinelink.com/vinelink/siteInfoAction.do?siteld=44900. This service is provided to assist Victims of Crime who have a right to know about their offender's custody status.
Eastland County offers a diverse community intent on changing the way rural Texas is viewed. We have a rich history full of tales. There are 44 historical markers scattered throughout the county.
Our county includes the cities of Cisco, Eastland, Gorman, Ranger, and Rising Star and the communities of Carbon, Desdemona, and Olden. Eastland is the county seat of Eastland County. We have five independent school districts and two community colleges, Cisco College and Ranger College. One hospital serves the community with modern facilities. As of the 2000 census, Eastland County is populated with 18,297 persons.

You can now also order birth and death certificates online by visiting Texas Online. Or you can download forms to order these certificates by mail from the DSHS website.
