The Eastland County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day.

Eastland County offers a diverse community intent on changing the way rural Texas is viewed. We have a rich history full of tales. There are 44 historical markers scattered throughout the county.
Our county includes the cities of Cisco, Eastland, Gorman, Ranger, and Rising Star and the communities of Carbon, Desdemona, and Olden. Eastland is the county seat of Eastland County. We have five independent school districts and two community colleges, Cisco Junior College and Ranger College. One hospital serves the community with modern facilities. As of the 2000 census, Eastland County is populated with 18,297 persons.

You can now also order birth and death certificates online by visiting Texas Online. Or you can download forms to order these certificates by mail from the DSHS website.
