The Eastland County Court is a Constitutional County Court with jurisdiction over Class A and B misdemeanors, probate, guardianship, and mental health matters.

In addition to his judicial duties, the Eastland County Judge presides over the Eastland County Commissioners' Court, which is responsible for financial administration and county road maintenance in the County.

The current Eastland County Judge is Rex Fields.  Linda Whetstone, Court Coordinator, is responsible for all court administration. Cherre Livingston is the Court Secretary and is responsible for the County's 9-1-1 addressing and indigent health care administration.

Cathy Jentho is the Clerk of the Eastland County Court and may be reached at 254/629-1583.

	Historical Note: At his retirement in 1997, Judge Scott Bailey was the longest sitting County Judge in the State of Texas completing his 36th year on the bench.
	Judge Bailey is an avid historian of Eastland County and is currently a practicing attorney in Eastland. In addition to his other activities, Judge Bailey serves as an aide representative for State Representative Jim Keffer.
